How GasOwl Works
Get your hardware
Every Australian GasOwl sale includes two ‘GasScales’, one exterior ‘Communications Hub’ and an interior ‘Gateway’.
Install and connect
Follow the supplied installation instructions to position the equipment and connect your Gateway. DIY or ask your local plumber/gasfitter to install.
Download the App
Download GasOwl from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once your hardware is installed, use the QR code supplied to connect the hardware to your App.

GasOwl will work anywhere in Australia, conditional on suitable equipment placement, Gateway power and internet access. Every Australian sale includes a Gateway - a small device that connects your Router - to provide GasOwl access to the internet (without using your wireless access point).

DIY or engage your local plumber/gasfitter to install it for you. Follow the supplied instructions. The Comms Hub must be mounted in the approved location specified in the installation guide. Any work on gas connections or fittings must be carried out by an appropriately licensed gasfitter.

You keep your preferred LPG supplier.
If you select the Standard Plan you place orders with your supplier directly.
If you select the Premium Plan the Australian team will confirm whether Auto Order is available for your supplier. Where available, it must be enabled by you in the App. -
Yes. The battery-operated scales have all the required safety certifications for the gaseous zone, conforms to Australian standards, and each set is labelled with its registered safety certification number. The battery-operated Communications Hub is installed outside, well above the gaseous zone, recommended under an eave, protected from the rain. The Gateway is installed inside and is powered by a General Purpose Outlet.

The GasScales and the Comms Hub are battery powered. The included Gateway has its own power adaptor and it connects to the internet by an Ethernet cable to a spare port in your Router. Your phone needs internet access to use the app.

If you have multiple bottles open at the same time, e.g. 2+ bottles on the left and 2+ on the right, then one GasOwl set is all you need.
If you want to see what is in each bottle, then order one GasOwl set per pair of bottles.
